Name the exact chip
MIFARE is a family name, not a single interchangeable product. Classic, Ultralight, DESFire and Plus use different capabilities and application structures. Record the generation, memory variant and any required manufacturer part number.
Match the issuing system
A readable UID does not mean the application can use the card. Readers may expect data in particular sectors, blocks or files. Supply a system specification or a nonproduction sample so that compatibility can be checked.
Define the security workflow
Identify who creates the application structure, who provisions keys and how the issuing system authenticates the credential. Do not put production keys into an ordinary quotation email. Agree a suitable transfer and provisioning process separately.
Plan replacements and migration
For a replenishment order, document the currently approved configuration. For a new generation or migration, validate reader firmware and software behavior before volume ordering. Do not assume that a change in the IC can be made without an application review.
Approve an encoded sample
Test access or transaction behavior, failed authentication, credential revocation and repeated reads where relevant. Keep the approved sample configuration as part of the order record.
