MIFARE Classic EV1 1K IC specifications
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Semiconductor IC | MIFARE Classic EV1 1K |
| Interface / protocol | ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A |
| Nominal EEPROM | 1 kB |
| RF data rate | 106 kbit/s |
| UID options | 4 byte NUID or 7 byte UID; specify variant |
| Authentication | MIFARE CRYPTO1 with sector access conditions |
| Memory use | Manufacturer blocks and sector trailers reduce application space |
Memory and protocol values describe the IC. Actual read performance depends on the finished antenna, enclosure, reader and operating environment.
NXP does not recommend MIFARE Classic EV1 for new designs. Evaluate DESFire or Plus where a new security architecture is required.
For replacements, match UID format, sector data, keys and reader behavior to the installed system.
Integration and qualification
Confirm the reader protocol, supported commands, identifier format and application memory layout. If the application requires authentication, align the reader and issuing system with the selected IC and security configuration.
Specify wrist size, fit, wearing duration and cleaning conditions. Test the credential while worn, including wet use when relevant to the approved construction.
Approve an encoded sample in the finished application before volume production. Define acceptance criteria for identification, memory access, printed data and repeated operation.
Define your production requirement.
